New Adventures: New Site is Under Construction

Happy New Year all! 2012 is going to be a great year!

After an exciting year of collaboration with fellow blogger, adventure seeker, and eco-ag-foodie extraordinaire, Deborah Lakowicz Dramby of Just Saying, it is time for an official blog merge. We've had so much fun with our award winning blog for the Public Health Garden, we are ready for even more learning and success in 2012.

New term: blerge!  Blerge = blog merge. 

The new website is under construction and will feature elements from both Just Saying and Adventures in Container Gardening, including the recipes I cherish on this website as well as insight, news, and ideas for the eco-curious. No doubt, it is going to be awesome!

While we are busy brainstorming and building, we encourage interested bloggers, developers and content creators to email us resumes and work samples.

2012 = the year of the blerge!  Stay tuned for more updates.

RoseMERRY Christmas

I love to decorate Christmas trees. But this year, I'm going to be in Costa Rica for the holidays with my mom and sister.  So, instead, I have a rosemary bush dressed up as a tree.

Smells delicious and I'll be able to use it to cook! It is a wonderful compromise.

Winter CSA

Last Thursday, I picked up my first CSA share from ECO City Farm in Edmonston, MD.

I couldn't be more excited to participate in ECO's CSA. My first share included swiss chard, mustard greens, lettuce mixes, pea shoots, another other greens. The CSA will run all winter long thanks to ECO's hoop houses and dedicated farm team.

I also took home some of the harvest from the Public Health Garden of kale, lettuce and mustard greens on Thursday.  Needless to say, my fridge is full of greens, which I hope will make perfect study food as I near the end of the semester (finals are 14th and 15th of this month!).
